Algae In China

Green algae covers beaches and the sea in Qingdao, China

Children swim in water covered by a thick layer of green algae at Zhanqiao Pier in Qingdao, a port city in Shandong Province, China.

The algae which has washed up onto on the beaches of Qingdao is only a small part of a 410-square-km green algae bloom in the Yellow Sea, which is being blown towards Qingdao.

Though the green algae is not toxic, it can consume large amounts of oxygen, threatening marine life. Also, rotting algae emits a foul smell.

Workers and volunteers have cleaned more than 240 tons of green algae from the coastline of Qingdao, since the algae bloom began a month ago.

Qingdao was hit by green algae in 2007 and 2008. Residents and soldiers removed tens of thousands of tonnes of it before the Olympic sailing events.

Vanessa Minnillo's Wedding Dress: All the Details!

Vanessa Minnillo's Wedding: All the Details Picture,Image

She said yes to the dress!
When Vanessa Minnillo married Nick Lachey on Friday, she looked stunning in a Monique Lhuillier gown.

Minnillo, 30, isn't the first celebrity bride to walk down the aisle in Monique Lhuillier: Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba all chose dresses from the designer's collection for their weddings.
A source told Us Weekly that Minnillo and The Sing-Off host, 37, exchanged their vows at the top of a cliff overlooking the ocean on Necker Island. They first arrived to the island on Tuesday via a private jet. The wedding was extremely small and close family only.

They allowed reality cameras to document their big day as a part of a TLC wedding special.
"We kind of wrestled with that for a while, for obvious reasons," Lachey told reporters during his bachelor party earlier this month. (He famously allowed MTV's cameras to document his first wedding -- and the honeymoon phase -- with Jessica Simpson.) "Having done reality TV in the past, I didn't necessarily want to jump right back into it without having thought it through to great length, and we did."

"[Vanessa and my wedding is] for us, for the people in our lives who are close to us and mean a lot to us," he said. "That's the way we wanted it, and I'm happy we're able to do it that way."

FUSHIGI BALL SECRET-IS IT A LAW OF SCIENCE OR AN ILLUSION?

FUSHIGI BALL SECRET

Fushigi ball is the best toy if you want to impress your mates and people around you. The ball is so exquisitely designed that people are just amazed to see its miracles. But the fushigi ball secret is somewhat quite different from what it actually seems. If you have seen a commercial and wishes to operate the fushigi ball like it is floated in the advertisement you are mistaken. To be honest what seems operational in the advertisement is not possible in the real world in actual sense. The commercials are misleading and vague. The fantasy created by the show is not what you actually experience while playing with the ball.

For me this product is too good to be true and my recommendations would be that you must do some research before purchasing such a toy. However, if you done that already and you are interested in a floating ball of your own to mesmerize your colleagues and viewers you must then practically apply the laws of physics on it. The fushigi ball secret includes the counter properties of a sphere. The laws and theories governing such a movement can be very helpful in exploiting the secret behind the floating ball. As a matter of fact it is only claimed by the company that it defies the laws of gravity however, in actual sense it does not happen. What is actually done is that you practice contact juggling on a toy specifically designed for such a purpose. It is however a somewhat un-deniable fact that learning and practicing contact juggling is not a piece of cake to digest.

Contact juggling is not as easy as it appears so. The people you see in advertisements have spent five, seven years in practicing the art they are displaying in front of you. You cannot repeat such doings in just a matter of days or weeks. Fushigi ball secret is not that it defies the laws of gravity rather it is the skill and labor that has been put in for so many years to come up with a strategy to create an illusion. An illusion that for some time distract your mind and you fancy that the object is floating in the air either by countering the gravity of magician’s hand or by defiance of the laws of physics. Contact juggling plays the imperative role in floating an object which is otherwise seems normal to gravity.

Superman Getting New Costume in 'Action Comics' Relaunch

Superman Getting New Costume in 'Action Comics' Relaunch

Superman will go get a new look in the 21st century reboot of "Action Comics," DC Comics said Friday.

According to the LA Times, the long-running comic series will restart at No. 1 in September , with Scottish writer Grant Morrison and artist Ralph "Rags" Morales at the helm.
One of the most notable changes to the original comics so far is Superman's costume. Although the Man of Steel still sports a skin-tight blue suit and his iconic red cape on the new cover, he no longer has the added protection of the Speedo-like red trunks he's worn since the first issue of "Action Comics," published in June 1938. His belt is also changing color from yellow to red.

In addition to the Superman franchise, DC Comics also plans to relaunch other titles in the DC Universe, which includes superheroes such as Batman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern. New characters, stories and, of course, costumes will be introduced across the board.
